On Saturday, June 7th, 2025, an inspiring psychology workshop took place, aimed at supporting the emotional well-being of out-of-town female students at the University of Cuenca 🎓💫. The session was filled with activities designed to promote mindfulness, presence, and mental self-care.

The day kicked off with a playful icebreaker activity, energizing the group and encouraging participants to get moving 🤸♀️. Smiles and laughter set a warm and welcoming tone.
Next came a body awareness exercise through gentle movement scanning 🧘♀️, helping participants reconnect with their physical sensations. This was followed by a collaborative storytelling activity that blended creativity with mindfulness, allowing everyone to contribute their voice to a shared narrative ✨📖.
One of the most powerful moments came with conscious breathing exercises, guided through the metaphor of a “wave of calm” 🌊. Participants were invited to ride the rhythm of their breath and find a sense of stillness amidst daily stress.
This led into a series of gentle yoga poses, with a focus on body-mind connection 🧘, promoting balance and introspection.
The session closed with a deeply personal moment: writing a personal affirmation, a meaningful reflection of each participant’s experience—something to carry forward as a reminder of the inner peace cultivated during the workshop 💌🖊️.
💖 Beyond practical tools, this workshop created a space for shared experiences and mutual support among women navigating university life away from home.
