This Monday, December 12, 2022, the University of Cuenca, through the Vice-Rectorate for Research, held the official ceremony of the "Recognition of the Scientific Production of Researchers". This event aimed to reward the scientific work carried out every day by the researchers of each faculty and to motivate teachers to continue with this hard work that contributes to scientific knowledge and the development of society.
The Vice-Rectorate for Research has provided significant resources to promote research in each of the faculties and to highlight the research potential of the teaching staff. For many researchers, this recognition is a great boost to be able to continue with their research work and encourage young people to take a research interest. Obtaining recognition from the university is not only gratifying for the researchers, but also for all the people behind each project (teachers, students, research technicians, and local communities) who are fundamental parts of the research process.
In this context, Freddy Espinoza, Imelda Avecillas and Juan José Santillán (members of the PREIT-Tour research group) were awarded as the best researchers of the Faculty of Hospitality Sciences, corresponding to the period from 1 January to 31 December 2021. The Research Department of the Faculty of Hospitality Sciences and the PREIT-Tour research group congratulate the researchers and wish them every success in their future academic projects.
