As part of the ICP Connect project titled "Beyond the Souvenir: A Multi-Regional Project for Authentic and Sustainable Hospitality Education," we recently held a productive meeting with the Academic Vice-Rectorate, the Vanguardia Honors Program, and the Office of International Relations of the University of Cuenca. The goal was to coordinate efforts around this international program that will greatly benefit students of the Hospitality and Hotel Management program.
One of the most exciting aspects of this initiative is that it will allow our students to pursue their studies in Belgium for three years, with all expenses covered. This unique opportunity will not only enrich the academic experience of our students but also strengthen the international ties of the University of Cuenca, offering a more comprehensive and global education in the field of hospitality.
During the meeting, we addressed some legal aspects to ensure a smooth process and discussed the numerous benefits this project will bring, not only to the Faculty of Hospitality Sciences but also to the University of Cuenca as a whole. This partnership marks a significant step toward internationalization and enhancing the quality of education, enabling our students to gain knowledge and experiences that will be essential for their professional development in an increasingly globalized world.
We are thrilled about what this project will bring to our university community and look forward to building bridges towards more inclusive and sustainable education!
