We are excited to announce that the project "Beyond the Souvenir: A Multi-Regional Project for Authentic and Sustainable Hospitality Education," which PREIT-tour successfully won in the VLIRUOS ICP Connect call, has been officially presented to the authorities and faculty members of the Faculty of Hospitality Sciences.
During the presentation, emphasis was placed on the crucial support needed from everyone involved to ensure the project's success, aiming to be a landmark in educational innovation for the faculty. The primary goal is to drive transformative change by addressing the challenges of sustainable tourism.
The project will span six years, focusing on several key aspects:
An international study program designed to offer students and faculty a global perspective.
Research and network building with the hospitality and tourism industry, strengthening ties between academia and the professional world.
Building national academic networks to promote collaboration and knowledge exchange among institutions.
Establishing a South American Hub as a reference point for sustainable hospitality.
Fostering intercultural awareness and a broader worldview, essential in the fields of hospitality and tourism.
Developing new programs in Hospitality and Data Science, equipping students with skills to tackle current and future industry challenges.
This ambitious project is proudly supported by our partner universities: VIVES University of Applied Sciences, Makerere University Business School, and Quy Nhon University, who will work together to achieve the established goals. This initiative represents a unique opportunity that promises to set a new standard in education and training in sustainable tourism. We are excited to embark on this journey towards educational innovation!
