Last Wednesday and, Thursday the PREIT-tour team was in the Naranjal canton collecting information for research purposes.
The team conducted interviews in three communities, these were 6 de Julio, 23 de Noviembre and Tsuer Entsa. In addition, a workshop with participatory methodologies was conducted specifically in the community of 23 de Noviembre.
This information will be used for an undergraduate thesis in the Faculty of Hospitality Sciences at the University of Cuenca. Likewise, the information will be used in a master's thesis at KU Leuven. Also, for predoctoral research at the same university. Furthermore, information was collected to build a paper on resilience and tourism in times of COVID-19.
In the following weeks, the team will continue to collect data in all the pilots of the project.
